The Township of Mahwah is in receipt of your request for records pursuant
to OPRA regarding Case #2023-05062.

Preliminarily, a request for “all relevant documents, reports, and any
other information” pertaining to an incident is overbroad over OPRA
because it does not specifically identify records and would require the
custodian to exercise discretion. However, in a good-faith effort to
locate the records you seek, the Township conducted a search on the
incident cited and located two responsive reports. However, because the
reports predominantly involve juveniles, they cannot be released pursuant
to N.J.S.A. 2A:4A-60 and N.J.S.A. 47:1A-9. Note that there was no arrest
and therefore no arrest report.

Your OPRA request is now deemed answered and closed. If your request for
access to a government record has been denied or unfilled within the
statutory time period required by law, you have a right to challenge the
denial of access. At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in
the Superior Court of New Jersey or file a complaint with the GRC by
