Arrest and Booking Records (2022–2026)
Dear North Bergen Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., I respectfully request access to and copies of public records maintained by the North Bergen Police Department.
Specifically, I am requesting a list of all arrest and booking records from January 1, 2022 through the present in 2026. For each booking/arrest, I request the following fields, to the extent they are maintained:
* Case or incident ID number
* Arresting officer’s name
* Arrested individual’s name
* Arrested individual’s gender
* Arrested individual’s age at the time of arrest
* Charges filed
* Date and time of arrest/booking
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

Records requested:

Attached please find a list of adult arrests conducted by the North Bergen police department for the date range you requested, Entries for arrests have been withheld where required by N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 (Records pertaining to juveniles) and N.J.S.A. 47:1A-9 (N.J.S.A. 2A:4A-60 (Disclosure of Juvenile Information); N.J.S.A. 2C:52-15 (Disposition of Records); (N.J.S.A. 2C:52-30 (Disclosure of Expungement Order)).
As with any OPRA request, you have the right to challenge the decision by the Township with regards to your request. At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the Superior Court of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government records Council (“GRC”) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.
