For immigration-related matters, the recommended course of action is to request a “Good Conduct” background investigation. Police records released through an OPRA request are typically redacted and may not be accepted for the intended immigration purposes.
The Good Conduct background investigation is available for a fee of $10.00. The requestor must appear in person at the Record Bureau, 330 Passaic Street, and present two forms of identification.
