Dear Newark City,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I AM MAKING THIS REQUEST for a limited commercial purpose that does not involve mass outreach. I intend to use the requested records to identify multi-unit construction projects to look for patterns like length of time from permit to project completion and in relation to changing political and economic condition and to evaluate trends in likely changes of purchasing and completion schedules.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:

A report listing or all construction permits issued by the City of Newark, Office of Uniform Construction Code, for multi-unit residential construction (5 or more dwelling units), issued between August 11, 2024 and August 11, 2026 (present) - or 24 months from the date of this request.

For each permit, I am requesting the following fields if available:

- Applicant / developer / owner name
- Project address
- Number of dwelling units
- Permit type (new construction, renovation/alteration)
- Date permit issued

I am requesting this information in electronic format (spreadsheet or PDF), please advise as to the format in which these records are available. My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail ) if as attachments.
