Annual reports
Dear South Amboy School District,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
2018-2023 Annual report cards, containing statistical information specified by the State Department of Education
2018-2023 bi-annual reports detailing the number/nature of violence, vandalism, and HIB reports
2018-2023 annual evaluations of chief school administrator

Good Morning Mr. Russell,
In response to your OPRA request I can provide you with the
following information.
1. All annual school report cards can be found on the State
Website: [1]https://rc.doe.state.nj.us/
2. Attached is a copy of the bi-annual violence, vandalism, and HIB
reports you requested.
3. As far as the request for evaluation for the CSA, that request
is denied as it seeks confidential personnel records that are exempt from
OPRA pursuant to NJSA 47:1A-10.
Thank you for your request. If I do not hear anything to the contrary, I
will consider this request closed.

Dear Peter Frascella,
1A) I checked that website again and only the 2021-22 report is available. Please provide copies of or links to the previous annual reports.
1B or 2A) I believe the BOE policy includes a stipulation to post the overall Grade on the school's homepage.
2B) Links to the bi-annual reports are also supposed to be shared on the website, according to BOE policy.
3) Performance evaluations are a strange thing to keep confidential but thanks for the update.
Please let me know if the other items can be addressed and if not, please provide an explanation.

Hi Mr. Russell,
With regard to your questions....
1A. The DOE website I provided has a drop down window with prior school
years in the top left corner of the webpage. This is the most up to date
information from the State, they haven't provided us anything more current
as they usually run a year or two behind.
1B/2A/B. I have made the appropriate parties aware of the current policy
with regard to posting the documents in question, so hopefully that is
rectified sooner rather than later, but it doesn't impact the deliverables
of your OPRA request.
3. I understand, unfortunately this was the information and
statute provided by our attorney stating the law as it pertains to
personnel records.
