Animal Control Contract, Intake, and Shelter Records
Dear Brick Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested for years 2022 and 2023:
1. Copy of contract between Brick and its animal control contractor. If administered by municipal manpower, please provide documents stating whom and the budget allotted to animal control services.
2. Name and address of Brick's municipal intake facility. If Brick has a separate contract for sheltering services outside of animal control, please provide a copy.
3. A log of all cat-related calls to Brick animal control for 2022 and 2023.
4. The animal shelter's log of every cat admitted to Brick's animal shelter for 2022 and 2023 including disposition of each animal.

#3 and #4 had to be obtained by A-Academy and the Ocean County Health Department. They do not have a log, only the original documents that need to be redacted. Therefore, we will need an addition 3 days to process. You should have the documents by Thursday, May 25th.

In response to items #3 and #4, in the link below are the only records from A-Academy and the Ocean County Animal shelter could produce relevant to your request. They do not have a log and it is not sorted by the type of animal.
