Dear Ridgefield School District,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

1) Andrew Borek attendance records for 2025 for BoE meetings
2) Audio and/or video of each meeting which Andrew was in attendance.
3) Meeting written minutes of each meeting which he was in attendance.

This email is in response to your Open Public Records Act (OPRA) and
common law access request received on June 10, 2025, in which you
requested the following:
1. Andrew Borek's attendance records for 2025 for BOE meetings
2. Audio and/or video of each meeting which Andrew was in attendance
3. Meeting written minutes of each meeting which he was in attendance
Please be advised of the following:
• Item 1: Attendance Records - Andrew Borek’s attendance at Board of
Education meetings is reflected in the official meeting minutes. These
records are available to the public.
• Item 2: Audio/Video Recordings - The Ridgefield Board of Education
does not retain audio or video recordings of Board meetings after the
official minutes have been approved by the Board. Once minutes are
approved, any audio or video recordings are destroyed in accordance
with the district's established records retention schedule and past
practice. As such, no audio or video records responsive to this
request are available.
• Item 3: Approved Meeting Minutes - All approved Board of Education
meeting minutes from 2025, including those at which Mr. Borek was in
attendance, are publicly available on our district website at the

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(c), access to a government record may be
provided by directing a requestor to the specific webpage where the record
is publicly available.
This concludes our response to your OPRA request. If you believe this
response is in error or wish to appeal, you may do so by filing a
complaint with the Government Records Council or by instituting a
proceeding in New Jersey Superior Court, as outlined in N.J.S.A. 47:1A-6.
