Dr. Anderson,

I am in receipt of your OPRA request, thank you. I am not sure I understand what you mean by "amount invested." Are you looking for budget information? Are you looking for what was spent under each funding source? If you can kindly clarify, we will be better able to provide you with the records you are seeking. Please be advised, however, that since 2020 is not over, we are unable, at this time, to provide numbers for the entire year.

If you are looking for budget information, our budgets are adopted for the whole County. The link below has access to the County-wide budgets for the years requested and several other years:

The 2018 budget can be found here:
http://www.co.cumberland.nj.us/filestora...

The 2019 budget can be found here:

The 2020 budget can be found here:

Additionally, please be advised that the Cumberland Area Transit System, (CATS) provides bus transportation to county residents who are aged 60 or older; Veterans; persons with disabilities; and the general public. It is a combined system with 80% of the ridership including seniors and disabled persons.

Kindly clarify your request if the records at the URLS included above are not sufficient, and we'll work within the parameters of your clarifications to provide any other records, in accordance with OPRA.

I look forward to your response.

Thanks and have a great day,
Melissa

Dear Melissa D. Strickland,

Thanks for your response.
Could you please forward the accounting line with money designated for the improvement of Paratransit, by the way of purchase of fleet, maintenance, expansion or investment?
This for the 2018, 2019, 2020 budgets. If no accounting line exists setting aside money specifically for the above said purposes, it may mean that the County invests zero dollars in this area.
Thanks very much.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Anderson

Dr. Anderson,

Attached, please find reports that the Cumberland County Department of Aging provides to NJ Transit as its primary funder. Two reports (2018 and 2019) are the actual expenses but the 2020 sheet is what was budgeted in January and is only an estimate because the year is not complete. Please also find attached a list of the vehicles the Department has obtained in the years in question.

Please confirm whether these documents fulfill your request.

Thank you,
Melissa

Dear Melissa D. Strickland,

Thank you for your response. Are these vehicles for the exclusive use of people with disabilities, or also for seniors, summer camp and other transportation uses? Thanks again,

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Anderson
