Good afternoon,
The Point Pleasant Beach Police Department received your OPRA request for
the following records:
"All Motor Vehicle Accidents where summonses were issued between March
18,2025 and April 9,2025."
Attached is a report of all accidents from that time period, and a report
of all summonses issued during that time period.
OPRA custodians are not required to conduct research for an OPRA request,
therefore, the police department will not search through accident reports
that resulted in summonses.
Please let me know if you would like copies of any of the summonses
redacted, and we will begin processing that for you.
Accident Reports are available for pick up in person at the police
department.
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-131* Point Pleasant Beach will charge $5.00 per
Motor Vehicle Accident report for all requests that are not made in
person. You may also obtain accident reports from Carfax.com.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed with this request.
*N.J.S.A. 39:4-131 "If copies of reports are requested other than in
person, an additional fee up to $5.00 may be added to cover the
administrative costs of the report."
Thank you,
Catherine Bradley
