Dear Hopewell Township (Mercer),
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

1. Any and all emails between Hopewell Township Police and Mercer County Prosecutors office in reference to Daniel P. Galatro Jr.
2. Any documents delivered to Township of Hopewell pertaining to Daniel P. Galatro Jr.
3. Any and all charges listed to Daniel P. Galatro Jr for theft or motor vehicle charges.
4. Any and all accident reports involving Daniel P. Galatro Jr.

Please provide further clarification for request #1. The Hopewell Township Police Department is comprised of over 40 employees, please identify specific Police Department employees by name, email address, or title and provide a date range for the search.
Request #2 "Any documents delivered to Township of Hopewell pertaining to Daniel P. Galatro Jr." is overly broad in nature. Currently, your request fails to identify with reasonable clarity the specific government records sought, as is required by Bent v. Stafford Police Department, 381 N.J.Super. 30, 37 (App. Div. 2005). A proper request under OPRA must identify with reasonable clarity those documents that are desired. At this time, we request clarification of your OPRA request. Please respond in writing and identify the specific government records sought so that we may process your request.
The records custodian for the Police Department will conduct a search to identify pertinent records sought related to #3 & #4 and will respond in a separate message on or before December 27th.
