All,

SK Environmental conducted their evaluation on the building on Thursday August 3, 2023, at 1pm. Steven Olivetti from SK Environmental Associates, LLC conducted a thorough investigation of the building, taking air samples, inspecting the HVAC system, and much more. DPW Supervisor, Lenard Vidal was also on site to assist. Mr. Olivetti will process his air samples, complete a formal report and provide his findings back to the department as soon as possible. Immediate recommendations were to continue to use fans and portable AC units to reduce stagnate air and dehumidify the building. He also recommended that the building's HVAC Units be turned on intermittently to circulate air throughout the building. These recommendations have already been implemented. If anyone has questions or concerns, please contact me.

Thank you and stay safe!

All,

I was just updated that SK Environmental will be here Thursday at 1 PM to assess any potential concerns about mold and air quality in headquarters. I also wanted to advise you all that DPW was able to move the two portable AC units from the PSAP into each of the locker rooms. Due to the fact that the portable AC units are ventilated through the ceiling tiles, the units had to be placed on top of a table. The portable AC units appear stable and have been placed in the only possible location, in each room. Please advise if there are any issues with their placement or safety concerns.

Thank you and stay safe!

All,

Be advised that I received word on 08/01/2023 just prior to 1000 hours, from Lenny Vidal that, Blue Dot Restoration LLC. cancelled and didn’t reschedule.  Lenny advised that he contracted another company, SK Environmental to do the testing.  As soon as he schedules a date and time, he will advise me, and I will advise all of you. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

Thank you and stay safe.
