Accident report
Dear South Toms River Borough,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
1. Police Reports related to a motor vehicle accident that occurred on or about September 17, 2025, at approximately 4:15 PM at or near the intersection of Dover Road and Railroad Avenue in South Toms River, NJ.
2. Body-worn camera footage from any responding South Toms River Police Department officers related to the above incident.
3. CAD/dispatch logs, incident reports, or supplemental reports connected to the same call for service.
4. Any arrest reports, summonses, citations, or investigative reports associated with the above incident.
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

The police department requires a case number and/or a name of who was
involved. Is the exact date September 19, 2025? You stated in your
request that it was "on or about" and we would require a specific date.
Please respond as soon as possible so the Borough of South Toms Toms River
can process your request.

The additional information you provided was that the exact date was 9/17
and the party involved was Richard DiPaolo.
The Borough of South Toms River does not have any accident reports for
Richard DiPaolo and the Borough considers this request to be completed and
closed.
