This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested: A list of all raffles/game of chance/bingo applications submitted by all Maple Shade Township organizations (including but not limited to qualified/recognized/bona fide by the Township of Maple Shade as well as applications submitted by organizations not recognized and/or not bona fide by the Township of Maple Shade from July 1, 2020 through 03/04/2022. Please include the following supporting details associated with each request
1. Approval/denial status of the raffle/game of chance/bingo application approved/denied by the Maple Shade Township along with the name of the township staff member that approved/denied the request
2. Application RA No
3. Registration Identification Number provided by the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission
4. Expiration date of registration identification number
5. Name of organization that submitted the raffle/game of chance/bingo application submitted to Maple Shade Township
6. Non-profit status of the organization that submitted the raffle/game of chance/bingo application submitted to Maple Shade Township and applicable EIN/Tax ID Number
7. Name of "member in charge of the games" of the organization that submitted the raffle/game of chance/bingo application submitted to Maple Shade Township

I am in receipt of your March 4, 2022 OPRA request. You have requested:

This request seeks information and does not identify specific government
records. A proper request under OPRA must identify with reasonable
clarity those documents that are desired, and a party cannot satisfy this
requirement by simply requesting all of an agency's documents. See Bent
v. Stafford Police Department, 381 N.J.Super. 30, 37 (App. Div. 2005).
Custodians are not required to conduct research or create new records in
response to an OPRA request.
Without waiving the invalidity of your request, I am requesting
clarification. Please identify the specific documents you are seeking.
Once I receive your response, I will prepare a response to your request.
Should you not provide the information requested, then your request will
be considered invalid and no further action will be taken.
Should you have any questions, please contact me.
If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by the Township of Maple Shade to deny
access. At you option, you may either institute a proceeding in the
Superior Court of New Jersey of file a complaint with the Government
Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form,
by mailing to PO Box 819, Trenton, NJ 08625. The GRC can also answer
other questions about the law. All questions regarding complaints filed
in Superior Court should be directed to the Court Clerk in your County.

For clarification, please provide the following:
1. Copies of ALL applications for bingo/games of chance/raffles approved,denied, and received/unprocessed by The Maple Shade Township between 07/2020 through 03/04/2022.
2. All correspondence to and from any Maple Shade Township official from any internal or external email address or individual that discusses any bingo/games of chance/raffles during 07/2020 through 03/04/2022. This would include emails, fax, or letters.
3. Please provide receipts/proof of payment for all application fees paid to or received by The Township of Maple Shade for all bingo/games of chance/raffle applications during 07/2020 through 03/04/2022.
Please put all requested documents into an electronic/scanned format so it can be attached electronically to this request.
