The request was partially successful.

Time to Change- Jersey Style

Dear Belmar Borough,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I certify under penalty of NJSA 2C:28-3 that I have not been convicted of an indictable offense. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

1. A copy of all Standard Operating Procedures from the Belmar Borough Police Department that are active as of 10-1-2017.

Yours faithfully,

Time to Change- Jersey Style

Claudio, April,

The Belmar Police Department relies on hundreds of directives, manuals,
and orders that compile together for daily standard operating procedures.
Can you please provide more details of what you mean by operating
procedures. Is there something specific you are looking for?
Thank you
April

Time to Change- Jersey Style

Dear Claudio, April,

I would like the Standard Operating Procedures, not manuals. The general orders and directives on things like Use of Force, public photography from citizens, and etc.

Yours sincerely,

Time to Change- Jersey Style

Claudio, April,

I have attached Belmar's Departmental Directive, General Order on Use of
Force. Please note that this directive does reference Attorney's General
Use of Force Policy and Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Use of Force
Policy, the police department follows these guidelines as well and both to
which can be found on the internet.
They do not have an order or directive specific to citizen use of
photography, however, we do have ordinance 20-15 which speaks to
Commercial Film Making. This too can be found on Belmar's website in
ordinances. Here's the website to Borough Ordinances

Attached below is the police department Use of Force Order as well.
Thank ou
April
