911 Audio & CAD Record
Dear New Brunswick City,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

My office is in receipt of your OPRA request dated April 6, 2026, and received the same.
Attached, please find the record(s) responsive to your request.
Redactions in these records are pursuant to OPRA, and the exemptions found in N.J.S.A.
47:1A-1, specifically personal identifying information, have been redacted, including names,
home addresses, and unlisted telephone numbers.
If you wish to request Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) reports, please be advised that in
December of 2018, The Rutgers University Police Department began dispatching emergency
services for the City of New Brunswick. The maintenance of the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)
system is included in those responsibilities. The Director of Public Safety Telecommunication
for Rutgers University has informed this office, all CAD records requests must be submitted
to the University directly. You can submit the OPRA request for the CAD report via this
