8/15 Police At Train Station
Dear Rahway City,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
copies of the following records related to an incident that occurred at the Rahway Train Station on or about August 15, 2025, between approximately 10:50 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., during which Rahway Police officers assisted at the station:
1. Incident reports, police reports, or supplemental reports generated in connection with this response.
2. CAD logs, dispatch records, or call-for-service reports for this timeframe and location.
3. Officer narratives, notes, or field reports tied to the response.
4. Any dash camera or body-worn camera recordings from officers present (if disclosable under OPRA, or otherwise guidance on how to petition the court for release).
5. Any radio transmissions or MDT messages relating to this incident.
If any of the requested records are exempt in whole or in part, please provide the non-exempt portions and cite the specific legal basis for any denial or redaction.
