I understand that the definition of a "public record" may be broader than what OPRA may permit. However, the following request for similar residential properties has been accepted and fulfilled by other municipalities.
REQUEST: All public records relating to the property located at --- 7 Sunshine Drive, Pittstown, New Jersey 08867 ---. Please include ownership history, permits, variances, tax history, oil tank history/removal (if applicable), etc. If any records are not available electronically, please provide instructions on how they can be obtained.
I believe the scope of the above request complies with N.J.S.A.10:4-6, et seq. and falls outside any exemption provided therein (P.L.1963, c.73 (C.47:1A-1 et seq.)) Note further that in addition to OPRA, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 provides and independent means for citizens to gain access to public information.

Thank you William...I will forward your request to the building department
to determine records there. You can look up the tax history on our website
www.alexandrianj.gov for this property. It goes back many years. We have
no records for well or septics. You will need to file a separate OPRA to
the County Health Department for those records.

Note: Due to Covid 19 the 7 business days for OPRAs has been suspended and
the State has allowed for these records to be given to you in a
"reasonable time". We are on a reduced schedule and staff. One employee
comes in once a week for their department. We will get you these records
as soon as we can.
