Dear Aberdeen Township,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:

1. All Certificates of Occupancy (COs) and Temporary Certificates of Occupancy (TCOs)
issued by the Township of Aberdeen between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025.
2. Any and all records, logs, reports, databases, or data extracts maintained by the
Township’s Construction Office, Housing Office, or any related department that reflect the
issuance of Certificates of Occupancy or Temporary Certificates of Occupancy during this
time period.
3. Any report or export from any permitting, inspection, or construction management
system (including but not limited to SDL, Edmunds, Spatial Data Logic, or similar systems)
showing permits that reached a status of “CO issued,” “finaled,” “closed,” or equivalent
during 2025.
4. Records sufficient to show the property address, block/lot (if available), permit number,
and date of CO or TCO issuance.
If the Township does not maintain a single compiled report responsive to this request, I am
requesting a data extract or report generated from the Township’s existing systems
reflecting these fields. This request does not require the creation of a new record, but rather
the extraction of data maintained in the ordinary course of business.
Please provide all responsive records in electronic format (Excel or PDF preferred).
If any portion of this request is denied, please provide a written explanation citing the
specific legal basis for denial as required under OPRA, and produce all segregable portions
of otherwise responsive records.
If this request is deemed overly broad, please contact me so that I may clarify; however,
please do not delay production of clearly responsive records.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
