Dear Manville Borough,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested: all existing recordings of public meetings held in 2024.
My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. However, I recognize that many recordings, especially video recordings, are too large to send via email. If that is the case, I can recommend: 1) uploading the recordings to a Google Drive folder and sharing it with my Google account: ckratovil, or 2) using the free service WeTransfer to send the recordings to my email address: [email address].
I am also open to other methods, including picking up a flash drive or CD/DVD at your office, or receiving the same via US mail at our PO Box: #3180, New Brunswick, NJ 08903. Please confirm you have received this request and feel free to contact me at 732-993-9697 with any questions or to make any necessary arrangements. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.

We received your request. The We Transfer option wont work because this request would send us over the file size limit for the free service. We can share the file through a Google Drive. Please confirm the email is "[email address]"
To confirm, you wan the audio recordings of public meetings. Please specify which public meetings of which boards you are requesting. It is not the job of the Records Custodian to research the issue to figure out what meetings were held. We will search to see if a recording exists of any meeting that you request. Please advise.

Shade Tree Commission
Recreation Committee

Good afternoon,
The Borough doesn't have a Library Board of Trustees since it joined the County system. There is a Library Advisory Board and it don’t record its meetings.
Shade Tree Commission, Recreation Committee and Sustainable Manville also don’t record meetings. There are some records for the Borough Council. Land Use and Board of Health. However, please note the Borough was approved for the destruction of meeting recordings through July of 2024. Therefore, some of you requested records may no longer exist. See attached authorization.
A link has been provided to the requested files whihc shall reside
in a shared Google Drive Folder for the next 30 days. Please let
us know if you have any issues accessing the folder or opening the
file.
