Please be advised 19:13-9 requires that "All petitions when filed shall be opened under proper regulations for public inspection." Please also consider that the deadline to challenge a candidate petition is April 8. This is the urgency that I was referencing in my request. You are welcome to come to the Clerk's Office to inspect the petitions submitted as per NJSA 19:13-9. However, under OPRA this is not a document that must be readily available. Therefore your request to obtain a copy of this document is not exempt from the 7 business day response period.
