This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

The City of Bayonne is entering the eight year of the forty-year contract with Bayonne Water Joint Venture, LLC -- a joint venture including investment firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and SUEZ (formerly United Water).

Under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to obtain copies of public records that

· identify the total water consumption and/or total revenue of purchased water within the city limits for Calendar Year 2019.
· Any documents or communication between SUEZ and the City of Bayonne, identifying the 2020 water rate.

If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $10.00. However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest and will contribute significantly to the public’s understanding of public utilities. This information is not being sought for commercial purposes.

The New Jersey Open Public Records Act requires a response time of seven business days. If access to the records I am requesting will take longer than this amount of time, please contact me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records.

If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.
