Upon review of vehicle inspections sheets, I notice that comments are being left describing, trash, food and paperwork being left in the vehicle. It is not the oncoming shifts job to decipher what items are important or trash. Please remove all paperwork, trash and food from vehicles at the end of your shift. If spot checks are conducted and items are located, the previous officer that utilized that vehicle will be responsible. Also there SHOULD NOT be any TRO’s or NCIC/DMV paperwork left in the vehicle. It is a violation of NCIC rules and could result in discipline.
